Bill is a Jesuit priest and has a Phd in economics from Harvard University.  He is the author of numerous publications, particularly on Catholic social teaching, globalization and interfaith dialogue.

Bill was director of Social Affairs for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. He then moved to Washington, DC as founding Director of the Center of Concern. Bill returned to Canada to take up the position of Jesuit Provincial for English Canada. Later he was General Secretary at the CCCB, and also acted as Special Advisor to the International Development Resource Centre's project on Culture, Spirituality and Economic Development. Bill has been with the Forum since 2007.
